The years follow each other and are not alike. 2016 will be a year of climatic contrasts: very mild winter, spring marked by freezing then by persistent rains favoring mildew, warm and very dry summer, sunny and mild autumn. We have to deal with these elements to bring the vine to produce juicy and ripe grapes in just enough quantity. It will be said that the year was complicated, difficult even, sometimes putting the nerves to the test. The grapes are now harvested, juice in vats. The fermentations went well - can I say serenely ? At La Pépière, we are already preparing next year, pruning has begun. The cycle continues!
